We strive to help our community during ongoing humanitarian crisis in our country. Angelia Clinic has opened its doors to everyone. It is free. Our mission of providing compassionate medical care and improving the quality of people’s lives nowadays is as crucial as never before. At this time, we put all efforts in supporting the vulnerable people by offering not only medical services, but by providing food, evacuation assistance, training of giving the emotional first aid online and, what is the most important, spiritual care. You can support us as “Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will repay him for his deed” (Proverbs 19:17).
Medical Care in Kyiv and Chernivtsi
Our Center has been opened in Kyiv for more than seven years, serving the most vital needs of our citizens as well as others abroad. However, now Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities are under the heavy fire. We had to evacuate some of our staff to the Western Ukraine (to the city of Chernivtsi) to make it possible for our service to continue in both Kyiv and Chernivtsi, where most of the refugees are leaving the Eastern part of the country. They constantly arrive, being in deep need of various types of care (many suffering from mental health problems), and we were so blessed to be able to establish an outpatient Medical Clinic in partnership with Bethany Medical Center in order to help as many people as possible. The goal of this Chernivtsi branch of Angelia Clinic is to provide free assistance to refugees and Ukrainians having no medical care because of current events. Our skillful team of physicians and other healthcare providers includes a family doctor, two neurologists, three psychiatrists, a gastroenterologist, a cardiologist, a gynecologist, an endocrinologist, two ultrasound specialists, two psychologists and several medical rehabilitation specialists. Patients can visit them in the Clinic free of charge, as well as online. Our specialists are able to examine patients in refugee camps and give various mobile services there.
Our main task is to provide clinics who care for refugees and our patients with necessary medicines. Most pharmacy warehouses around the country are closed down and pharmacies do not have enough supplies. Logistics with pharmacies have become difficult, because medical manufacturing companies are closed. We have received medical support from Romania and were happy to distribute those medicines among the clinics in other cities which suffer from the war. We packed and transported necessary drugs to places that experienced a dramatic shortage and there are many more to be delivered. Not only shortage of medicines, but lack of basic essentials like hygiene products and antiseptics makes it very difficult for many people to avoid diseases at this time. We appreciate any help, support, donation given to us to improve the situation during the war time.
It is a pity that many Ukrainians suffer from hunger in the destroyed places. At Angelia, we do our best to send help to those who need it most. Basic food items like bread and other groceries become lifesaving help in the places short of regular food chain supply. Our volunteers transport bread, baby formula, vegetables, medical supply and other essentials to Kharkiv and other places. The delivery is restricted since the roads are blocked. Thanks to donations we receive, we are able to buy those products in Western Ukraine and provided the cities which are in need.
With our mission of providing compassionate medical care and improving the quality of people’s lives, we have always been led by God’s Word and His love. But providing people with spiritual care has become as important as never before. Our doctors and staff are doing their best in comforting and supporting the suffering while we pray for the Lord to provide complete healing and recovery from all trauma that Ukrainians are going through.
Besides medical and humanitarian help, our Center is actively involved in evacuation of people from Kyiv and other parts of Ukraine to Chernivtsi, where they can get help. On the way back, we transport food, fuel and medicines to Kyiv, where we continue to provide shelter and outpatient medical care in the basement of our Angelia Clinic building. Every day brings new challenges, but we continue trusting the Lord and having faith in His promises. Please support us in your prayers and please pray for peace in Ukraine!
